IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS OR THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE QUESTION, DON'T BOTHER REPLYING

I'm all for shutting down the money-go-round.

DO NOT pass a CR.

It's time to trim the fat, and I cannot think of a better way to put a stop to nonsense like this....

Americans' earnings have already being confiscated to pay for this ludicrous (and expensive) attempt to supposedly make zoo workers less racist, and the nation is now around $36 trillion in debt:

Institute of Museum and Library Services grant (2024)

Amount: $507,070

Recipient: Woodland Park Zoological Society

Purpose: Develop and implement a conservation leadership program that equips staff with the knowledge and skills to apply equity, inclusion and antiracist practices to zoo structures, policies, and programs. Project activities will include developing the program curriculum, hosting two six-month pilot courses, evaluating the program, and sharing curriculum, resources, and results with communities of interest. Learning opportunities will be centered on a cohort of approximately 28 supervisors and project managers throughout the zoo, who will lead staff and volunteer efforts to apply an antiracist lens to the zoo’s work with internal and external audiences. The project will result in a core group of staff who have the knowledge, skills, tools and motivation to chart a more inclusive path forward to achieve Woodland Park zoo’s conservation mission.

Before anyone tries to put a partisan jersey on me, in no way should Republicans get to hide behind any excuses, either.

I strongly suspect that more citizens have used Grok to read the bill than Congress critters have.

I'm sick of Congress kicking the can down the road with CRs.

We're running out of road.

A big factor in inflation is government spending, BTW. The more cash the Fed pumps out, the less your dollars are worth.

SHUT IT DOWN.

How naive is “copy and paste?”

Congressmen and Senators read very little of what is proposed, that is why they have extended staffs, most over two dozen paid employees. In addition, they get the committee notes before the proposal is recommended and hear for the party leaders, their group leaders, and lobbyists of what is and isn’t in the bill

Appears “copy and paste” thinks Congress operates as Mr Smith Goes to Washington, no wonder he swallows all the lies his media spreads

You don't think that's suboptimum, Anchovies?

I believe that if it's too much for a Congressmen and Senators to read, it's too much for Congressmen and Senators to pass.

You mean suboptimal?

What did you think they pay, no, we pay, those bloated staffs to do? Besides, they, and their staffs, wrote the proposal to present to the Committee. Other Congress members, if they were doing what they were elected to do, followed the proposal as it was edited and formulated in Committee, very little should be a surprise.

Schoolhouse Rock has several cartoons on the subject you need to watch, just like scrolling tweets, GIFs, and memes, right up your alley
