It has become clear that CRT is now a dog-whistle for racists who are pretending they are not racist.

Just like Birtherism during President Obama's campaign and presidency was code for racism, now CRT opposition is the same thing.

Here is how it has progressed:

Birtherism 1.0 was all the racism camouflaged as an argument over where President Obama was born.

Birtherism 2.0 was the support for racism and white nationalism during the Trump presidency.

Now, Birtherism 3.0 is all the concern over teaching CRT in schools.

In each case, racists have seized upon racially charged issues, and argued for the racist position by using proxy battles instead of honestly just professing their racism outloud.

That's why we should just call this what it is.

Objections to CRT in schools = Birtherism 3.0.

Many of today's racists want to believe they are not racist. So they fool themselves in this way. They pick out a racially charged issue and they take the racist position on it.

And then they say they are not racist.

Interesting how all the discussion over schools these days never includes the performance of the schools but rather centers on such as CRT

Your average Trump-loving Deplorable never even heard of critical race theory 12 months ago until their gods and superiors in the rightwing media ordered them to start acting outraged about it.

It is Democrats that are racist. CRT is racism. It is being pushed by Democrats.

Looks like we are going to be hearing about the evils of CRT for the next 3 years.

There's this new guy at work. He's always on edge and he brags about how he lived on unemployment for over a year. He also said he's a Trump supporter and that the vaccine is a "bullshit placebo."

I was honestly surprised he knows what a placebo is.
