Where the FUCK did he say anything even remotely like that.

Jeez dude, don't be a fucking tool. Sure Cypress has an occasionally fraught relationship with Jesus' teachings but I've never heard him say anything as that.

Why can't people on this forum debate against the ACTUAL POSITION OF THE PERSON THEY ARE DEBATING AGAINST!

"You look at morality for its utility: i.e., a more stable society, better property values, less crime.
You can get that with communist China."

He isn't saying what you said he was. I completely disagree with Cypress on these things but he is NOT saying that the Golden Rule is Communism. He's making a larger point about people like me who think that morality is an evolutionary tool to ensure secure societies which provide survival advantages to social animals.

Honestly, TRY to engage with the posters based on their CONTENT not your imagination.

yes he is.

he's saying the golden rule should not be focused upon because it's communism.
Didn't take your meds this morning?

The question is, what is the point in being moral.

You say it's goal is to have stable societies.

I say it's based on the innate value of the individual human. If you really just wanted a 'stable society', you could achieve that with communism, monarchy, dictatorship.

I don't think Martin Luther King or Nelson Mandela sat in jail thinking about stable societies, lowering crime rates, improving property values. They were thinking about the innate and endowed value of human beings.

The antebellum abolitionists and Ghandi literally made society unstable by insisting on honoring the innate value of the human.

THE POINT IS high trust and stable societies, and an evolved human consciousness not fixated on violence and dominance.
You say it's goal is to have stable societies.

it's stable societies AND the innate value of individual humans.

which individual humans are served poorly by stability, trust and nonviolence?

you're just making up shit again to serve your dark master, Satan.
