Dad Is Refusing To Pay His Trump-Supporting Sons' College Tuition After The Election

We fight, We win
As we stare down another four years of Donald Trump, there's been a lot of discourse about people cutting off their Trump-supporting family members after the election. In one story I found, a father is cutting off his Trump-supporting sons financially, and people are debating on whether he's gone too far as a parent.

'What these young men need is a little dose of reality. Get out in the world and start paying their own way.'"

"'I've decided to pass on the [college] expenses to my two Trump-supporting sons so they can truly feel firsthand the cost and expense of his absolutely stupid policy decisions, which includes food, gas, and college expenses. Wondering if I pass on these [food, gas, and college] expenses in year one or phase them in year two?"

Both of the " kids" are grown men in their 20's , let them get a job and pay for their own collage.
My parents could not afford to pay for my collage , I had to figure out how I was going to pay for it on my own and I did and never had to take out a loan ,

Rough life. Nothing to brag about. Most successful people have supportive parents.

Oh my parents were supportive they just didn't have the money to help me go to collage they had more kids then just me and had to take care of them.
And putting myself through collage is something to brag about, and doing it without taking out a loan that would take years to pay off .

well not all my credits are in the same curriculum . a BA. in business 3 associates in ALC and Drug counseling, and electrical engineering .
I did the Business one first , took the counseling ones for a job in the company I worked for , and got the electrical engineering one when I took my apprenticeship to become an electrician, that one was accidental. I just took all the courses required and they told me I had another degree but I had to register for it so I did and got it.

Good,,,,so u agree college students can get a job and pay their student loans off
OH yes there are also other ways to get it paid for.
VA collage benefit goes a long way but you have to go into the service to get that one, I got drafted back in 1969 and joined the Navy instead.
Then having a good union job at a large auto maker didn't hurt either.

So you are against Biden using my taxes to pay for college tuition.:thumbsupgirl:

The kid's father is a communist in training and a major asshole.
Again the " KID " is a 20 something year old man.
It is time to get out and earn your way, a lot of us had to do it when we were their age.
One of the problems now a days is these " Kids " think they should be given everything and don't want to work for the stuff they get.
Time to grow up " Kids "

I worked my way through undergraduate and through postgraduate programs my wife and I worked my way through medical school so it can be done. I occasionally borrowed a couple thousand dollars from my parents but I made sure to pay every single dime back as quickly as I could. It is hard though. I drove pieces of junk while I was in school.. My car exploded a transmission on an overhead highway in heavy traffic there was no way to to stop and I barely limped it home. There wasn't a single reusable part on the transmission. My point is working your way through school is hard and requires sacrifice. I even worked as a janitor, a roofer, a resident assistant, and an hospital orderly. I don't mind the government loaning money to help students but it is a LOAN not a GIFT. There is no reason mechanics, truck drivers and waiters should have to pay for the degrees of engineers and lawyers.

I paid my own way through college, but to cut off his sons because he's butthurt, that's pretty fucked up.
It's also much worse and unaffordable for college students now.

Guano, can we deduce from your post that this leftie father is as deranged as soooo many of the other butthurt alt lefties, yourself included?
BTW, figure it out yet?

I remember my truck died halfway through the period I was doing and I had to ride a bike to school for the 2nd half of the semester.
I'd leave early and change shirts n stuff. I did slip about a 1/2 a grade point that semester.
It was 8 miles. I did it on a Schwinn World Tour I bought for $5. I got through it with passing or better grades.
4.6 wasn't there anymore, but OK. Had to deal with reality.
