Death Predictions: 2013

Rationalist

Hail Voltaire
I am predicting that George H.W. Bush and Stephen Hawking will die in 2013. Bush's health seems to have taken a turn for the worse as of late, and while I do believe he'll recover from the fever that currently has him in the hospital, he is trending toward death's door. As for Hawking, he is lucky to have lived as long as he has - most people afflicted by his disease die within a few years of diagnosis. Hawking might be a bold prediction, but there's only so long the guy can escape the inevitable.

For those who don't like this thread/think it is too morbid: the reality is that everyone, including you, will die someday. Your personality, memories, and consciousness will cease to exist. Accept it.

This thread only makes me feel worse that Russian icon, and a man who has influenced the 20th and 21st centuries in so many ways, will also be passing soon.

Mikhail Kalashnikov is sick as well. He's 93 years old, and until last year was still working despite being lauded as a hero of his nation.

May the Deep Ones bring peace and glorious madness to his soul.

my list this year was the following:

Fidel Castro
Ariel Sharon
Ronnie Biggs
Merle Haggard
Etta James (1) (dead)
Robin Gibb (1) (dead)

Luise Rainer
Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi (1) (dead)
Zsa Zsa Gabor
Yitzhak Shamir (1) (dead)
Tony Martin (1) (dead)
Oscar Niemeyer (1) (dead)
Eli Wallach

everyone should go to http://www.flymetothetomb.com and sign up for next year. It's free to enter and top prize is like . . . 300 dollars or something? Then we can celebrate every time a celebrity dies. you've got till midnight on the 31st to get your list in.

fun fact, my death list spells out "farmer lazy toe" if you look at each first letter of each name and go from top to bottom
