Deficit is predicted to increase to 1.6 trillion in 2011

The deficit is predicted to hit its current ceiling of $14.2 trillion in about 6 months. Nice going Democrats.

Who cares?

When the debt collectors come just hide behind Montana and pretend you're not in.

I was under the impression that the deficit was supposed to continue falling until around 2014 (at least in the CBO's numbers; I don't think we have to mention the administrations wildly optimistic figures, which will likely be regarded as humorously naive anachronisms by future generations), due to increased revenue from the recession ending, and looking at the deficit for 2011 shocked me and made me think that things might continue to rise. After reexamining things, it appears that the deficit in 2010 was actually significantly less than expected, and that the deficit in 2011 is roughly what was predicted in 2010 by the CBO anyway. Which gives me hope that we at least three years until the debt singularity, rather than it beginning immediately.

The end is not yet nigh!
