Definition of Victory

Cspan: Iraq War debate yesterday. Senate floor.

Senator Lindesy Graham defines success in iraq. Or victory. Whatever word they're using these days:


"A stable, functioning government that can defend itself and deter Iran".


That's what Iraq had before we invaded, Senator Graham.
 
Takes me back to a lengthy debate I had w/ SR on the old site, where he argued vehemently that the only way to return Iraq & its many "savages" to stability would be with a brutal, strong-armed dictator.

And he STILL said invading was the right thing to do.

Reality has gotten so weird during the Bush years...

Yeah, I remember that. You know what? It didn't shock me. SR isn't the only con on message boards who talks like that.

You'd be suprised that even given all we know, how many cons will still claim invading iraq was a good idea, its just that Bush mucked it up. That's the new talking point.

I remember when he went on that tangent. For a good while there he had written off an entire nationality as "savages" and barbarians. It was hilarious.
 
SR completely fell apart before our eyes from an occasionally reasonable conservative Republican to a complete racist loon.
