Jeffrey Epstein mentioned President
Donald Trump in an email exchange about his plans for Thanksgiving in 2017, according to documents released by members of the House Oversight Committee.
In an email exchange on Nov. 23, 2017, Faith Kates, the founder of NEXT Model Management, asked the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender where he was spending Thanksgiving.
Epstein replied, "eva," possibly a reference to his former girlfriend Eva Andersson-Dubin. Kates said that means "glenn" must be there, a likely reference to Glenn Dubin, Andersson-Dubin’s husband.
Kates then asked, "who else is down there?"
"David fizel. hanson. trump," Epstein replied.

"Have fun!!!" Kates wrote back.
Records show that Trump spent his first Thanksgiving as president at his properties in Florida, including his private club Mar-a-Lago and a few hours at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.
In response to questions about the email exchange, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said, "These emails prove literally nothing."
"Liberal outlets are desperately trying to use this Democrat distraction to talk about anything other than Democrats getting utterly defeated by
President Trump in the shutdown fight," she added. "We won’t be distracted, and the entire Administration will continue fulfilling the promises the President was elected on, including Making America Affordable Again."
Attempts to reach those mentioned in the email exchange were unsuccessful.
The emails were among
thousands of pages of documents released on Nov. 12 by members of the House Oversight Committee, throwing the topic that has dogged the Trump administration for months back into the spotlight.
Democrats on the committee released a few pages of emails before Republican lawmakers posted more than 20,000 emails online, including the Thanksgiving Day exchange, which occurred nearly a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty to sex offense charges in Florida.
Trump said on his social media that House Democrats released the initial batch of documents to distract from the government shutdown.
"The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects," Trump
said on Truth Social.
The emails included messages in which Epstein said Trump
"spent hours at my house" with one of Epstein's victims and allegedly "knew about the girls."
Trump has maintained that he and Epstein – who died by suicide in jail while awaiting a trial on sex trafficking charges – had a falling out years ago because Epstein was a "creep." No evidence has suggested that Trump had any involvement in Epstein's sex trafficking ring.
The White House has emphasized that the email release was aimed at distracting people from the news of the day.
"The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Nov. 12. "The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees."
