Maybe Democrats would be better off just getting the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings of Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination over and done with quickly. Today Morning Consult polling shows support for Barrett growing:

48% of registered voters in the Oct. 9-11 survey said the Senate should vote to confirm Barrett as a Supreme Court justice, up 2 percentage points from 46% in a poll one week ago, though inside the surveys’ 2-point margins of error. 31% of voters said the Senate should vote down Barrett’s nomination, unchanged from the previous polling.

Support for Barrett’s confirmation even inched up a bit among Democrats, from 24 percent to 27 percent.

In this survey, Democrats appear to be losing the argument on whether the Senate should wait to see who wins in November. Morning Consult found 44 percent of respondents say the Senate should vote on confirming her as soon as possible, regardless of who wins the election, compared with 36 percent who think she should be confirmed only if President Trump wins election. Those numbers have moved a few points in the confirm-now direction since late September.

nobody but cons and originalists care about the particulars. It's all election, and Trump needs face time, not ACB

I'm starting to think he might lose AZ and NC is a nail biter.
But Rebubs are over performing in early voting in the rustbelt

I mean you can read the tea leaves anyway you want, but Trump needs a strong close, and he can pull it off.

If the D's take both Houses and POTUS SCOTUS will not save either your freedom nor the Constitution.....you do understand this....RIGHT?

judges is one of the best things in trumps corner. Also, it's too late to turn this election into a positive on trump. Trump getting time doesn't really help him much. It's the things he does (like judges) that might get some of the boomers to switch back. Trump the person has no clout anymoroe with the electorate (if polls are to be believed)

if they do something really unpopular with voters it will make it that much easier for us to kick them out in the midterms, so I say lets see them try

The rallies aren't massive like they used to be because of less seating.
But they are packed.. the one at Sanford airport in Fl had people walking in for like a mile.
The rallies are retail politics..it's get out the vote -better then door knock etc.

Which is why he needs to get around and close , while Sleepy Joe calls another media lid.
As you well know at this point it's about getting the vote out. good on the judges -but go for teh election

By that time voting will be irrelevant ....that is the plan.

because it has to make it to the court, and rulings can be schizzy..
You need the POTUS or legislature or at minimum a filibuster. Dems will take that away also

Joes brain cant handle policy and he does not matter, Harris will be in charge, and she represents the Revolution, but the DNC is not honest enough to tell us what changes will come after we elect them. Because if they told us the truth we would elect Trump.

i have faith, I am not a doomer. Packing the courts will eviscerate all their political capital. Political suicide, and then republicans will have a full mandate t get back in and unmake it.
