How is this dependence on the government?

You don't see how dialing the police to get you a beer is dependence on the government?

(1) But the police department is not a government agency. They are usually county or in some cases state agency.

(2) Dialing 911 to get beer is neither uncommon nor it displays 'dependency' on government. It demonstrates a misuse of an emergency system.

(3) She is old. There are stories of people calling 911 because a burger joint gets their order wrong.

Edit regarding (1):

State Troopers, Highway Patrol etc are representatives of state governments however my position still stands regarding the whole dependency thing. A misuse of an emergency system does not mean dependent.

Regarding #1, does making the police a state agency mean they are not a part of the government? Not following you there.

Yeah I was actually coming back to edit that...Yes State troopers and the like are a part of the state government.

Not to belabor the point but the LAPD would be a part of city government.

Cities get their charters to form as such from the state and are considerd to be parts of the state (unless there specific Constitutional exemptions typically).

If it's not uncommon, you should be able to provide other examples of people asking government employees to fetch beer.

Can you?

Your sentence structure isn't too good. Perhaps that helps explain why you are having career difficulties.

Ageist. Post a link to these stories.

It is uncommon.....

People don't dial 911 to fetch beer. People dial 911 for other stupid things. I don't need to post anything about people asking government employees to fetch beer.

Dependence on government? I get it! Cus she's black, right?

She's old and senile and did something stupid in her fragile condition. You're not old or senile and yet do stupid things all the time regardless.

A man who called 9-1-1 and told a dispatcher he "needed a woman" was arrested after authorities discovered he was a convicted sex offender.

The Sheriff's Office, in a news release, said "Collins didn't get the woman he was looking for but he did get a ride to jail.''
