Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is attempting to shift the blame after backlash stemming from a school district’s removal of baseball star Roberto Clemente’s children’s book.

Clemente’s book references racism he dealt with as a Black Puerto Rican baseball player, and has been removed from the district’s libraries for months pending review, in compliance with the state’s newly passed “Stop WOKE Act,” according to Duval County Public Schools.

The governor, who’s made removing “critical race theory” from education a key component of his platform, is now accusing the school district of trying to get publicity from their “outlandish” stunt in removing the book, claiming it has nothing to do with new laws.

The books are not mandatory. If they were around when you were growing up, would you read them? Kids with sex identity problems would seek them out so they would not feel alone with their problems.
Do you honestly think kids grow up oblivious to gay and in-between sex problems that some kids have? If they do not read it, the gay problem will disappear?
Our culture punishes people who are different. Now Desantis is turning that into a sport.

Not just a sport, but a campaign schtick. The sickening part is how low-life losers like Serendipshit and his equally-ugly female counterpart Minty eat that shit up and beg for more.

Teachers and schools are not pushing "the gay agenda," "gay books," "CRT," "racial division," or "grooming" on kids, whether grade school age or older. School is most people's first exposure to the world outside one's family household. Guess what? The world contains people who don't look or speak like you. It contains gay people, short people, tall people, disabled people, atheist people, religious people, smart people, stupid people (esp. in FL). Reichwingers need to learn to deal with it and stop trying to censor everything they fear and/or hate.
