Under G.W. Bush (2004 - 2008) it was 94, under Obama (2008 - 2016) it was 49, under Trump (2017 - 2020) it was 41, under Biden (2021 - 2024) it was 26, and now under Trump in just 9 months this year it's 20.

You are a mathematical illiterate. The number that's important here is the number of deaths per quantity of inmate. That is deaths per 1000 or 100 or whatever.

The sheer number of deaths is utterly meaningless. If under say, Biden, there were 30,000 persons in detention and 26 died, then with Trump the number jumped to 60,000 detained with 20 in that period of time, if the death rate per capita remained constant that's the equivalent of 10 to Biden.

The sheer number alone is meaningless.
