Marie Yovanovitch wrote that it was "devastating" to watch Trump behave like an authoritarian.

Trump's efforts to pressure Ukraine to investigate Biden were "embarrassing to me as an American," she wrote.

Yovanovitch served as the US ambassador to Ukraine until Trump abruptly fired her in 2019.

She was referring specifically to Trump's efforts to pressure Ukraine into launching an inquiry into Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election, and withholding US military aid to Ukraine while doing so.

You may not know. The fact is he did withhold it because he was using it as a bargaining chip so Zelensky could help him in the election. He wanted an announcement of a Biden investigation or no aid would come. It was stopped until his staff explained to him how bad the optics were. Everyone involved said he was dragged kicking and screaming to provide the aid. This is a response to another fake post by Into the dark.
