Yes, U.S. military leaders have indicated that invading Greenland would be a war crime and have expressed their moral obligation to disobey such orders from President Trump. They have emphasized that military action should only be a last resort and not a means for national interests.(y)

Military Leaders' Stance on Invading Greenland

Concerns About Legality and Morality

  • U.S. military leaders have expressed significant concerns regarding the legality and morality of an invasion of Greenland.
  • It has been suggested that invading Greenland would be considered a war crime under international law.
  • Military leaders are expected to disobey unlawful orders, which includes any directive to invade a territory without just cause.(y)

Official Statements

  • The White House has indicated that military action is "always an option" for acquiring Greenland, despite widespread rejection from European leaders and the Danish government.
  • Some military officials and commentators have voiced that any military action against Greenland would not be justified and should not be executed.

Public and Political Reactions

  • There is a growing sentiment among military and political leaders that any attempt to take Greenland by force would be unacceptable and could damage international relations, particularly with NATO allies.
  • The Danish Prime Minister and other European leaders have firmly stated that Greenland is not for sale and must be respected as a self-governing territory.
In summary, while there is no direct public refusal from military leaders to Trump, there is a clear consensus on the unacceptability of using military force to acquire Greenland.

Riches are their true God
Agreed. They are all mammon worshipers, which explains why they've turned their backs on Jesus Christ and worship the Orange Jesus.

If the Treaty was ratified with a 2/3 vote by the Senate it is the "law of the land" and absolutely it would be an illegal order. Not 'international law' illegal, US constitutional illegal.

If the Treaty requires us to attack anyone who attacks one of our allies, and it was ratified (which it was by far more than 2/3 of the Senate), we would then be obligated to attack ourselves.
