Two blacks are charged with staging a hate hoax (burning a cross) to get sympathy for black mayoral candidate yemi mobolade. The defendants claim yemi was in on the plan.

may 19 2025 DENVER (AP) — In the run-up to the 2023 mayoral election in Colorado Springs, a racial slur was scrawled across a Black candidate’s sign and a cross set on fire in front of it.

It was a stunt to generate sympathy and support for the Black candidate, Yemi Mobolade, prosecutors have said, and two people accused of staging it are on trial this week, charged with making a threat against him. They are each charged with using a means of interstate commerce — the internet and email — to make a threat and convey false information about an attempt to intimidate Mobolade with a fire.

But one of the defendants claims Mobolade himself was a participant in the plan to help him win. And the defendant’s attorneys say their alleged actions were political theater — free speech that is constitutionally protected and wasn’t meant to cause harm. The U.S. Attorney's Office for Colorado, which is prosecuting the case, declined to comment on whether it had questioned or investigated Mobolade about whether he was involved in the cross burning.

As an added complication, mobolade was accused of making false statements to the FBI but the racist DOJ under biden refused to prosecute him because he is black!!!

As a result of Mobolade’s conduct in the interviews, the FBI referred the now-mayor to the Department of Justice to face charges for making false statements to federal investigators, the official said. But the Justice Department refused.

“The initial response from the Department of Justice was ‘we can’t indict the first black mayor of Colorado Springs,’” the official said, adding “In my experience if anyone had been in that position they would have been charged with lying to a federal agent.”

These hoaxes are so common among the deviants and commies for the last few decades there is zero reason to believe any such claims any more.

They did the same thing with waves of black church burnings, claiming it wuz evul white racists n shit', only to find a majority of them were blacks and teenage satanists. But they will never let a good lie die, no matter what.

They;re just scum, and nothing Democrats ever say should be beleived or taken seriously.

“The initial response from the Department of Justice was ‘we can’t indict the first black mayor of Colorado Springs,"

That is another monster scandal censored by the press. Imagine if an official refused to indict a white criminal just because he's white!!

How did an extremely black nigerian get elected mayor of colorado springs??? Vote fraud of course. The governor is a super-liberal pervert. Vote fraud there too. The whole state has turned into a sewer,

The two blacks charged with cross burning were found guilty yesterday may 23.

The couple who orchestrated the cross burning hoax during the 2023 Colorado Springs mayoral election runoff have been found guilty on all charges.

Derrick Bernard, Jr., and Ashley Blackcloud were present when the verdict was read Friday afternoon, convicting them of conspiracy and using the internet and email to convey a false threat. Bernard was then taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal.
Bernard took the stand Friday afternoon as part of the defense’s case. He testified that the cross burning was a strategic plan to get Mobolade elected. He maintained that the hoax didn’t threaten the mayor even though it appeared to do so.
