Republicans have had control of the House for less than a month. But they’ve wasted no time dismantling civil rights protections.

On Tuesday, House Republicans on the Oversight Committee disbanded the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, which investigated issues like white supremacy, voting rights, freedom of assembly, and criminal justice.

Representative Cori Bush (D-MO) did not mince words when discussing her Republican Colleagues on Friday.

“It looks like they are ending anything that has to do with civil rights across all across Congress,” Rep. Bush told The Root. “White supremacy thrives in the United States Congress, and we’re seeing it.”

Judging from Cori Bush's response, good thing they did disband it, as it appears the committee's mindset was racist and bigoted to the max...
 
They gutted the ethics committee on day one. They show who they are. It is fair to think the Trumpys and rightys agree with them. They work for the super-rich and corporations, not the people. The House can investigate all the Dems it wants, but not the Repub insurrectionists.

That's all they can do and asinine investigations?!! They wont be able to pass a single piece of legislation either, because the democrats control the senate and white-house too?!! I don't want see Biden back down to the GOP house on raising the debt limit either, they voted to raise it three times under Trump?!! We are paying for Trump's debt too?!!
