Diuretic, what you're nation did and is doing in Nauru is fucked up

Just my opinion. :nono:

Shameful! Is labor going to change it?

Yep, I will spare everyone my rant but it was an absolute disgrace to us.

Yes, Labor is changing it right now. A bunch of Burmese people there have been granted asylum already, they are working through the remaining people to check out their claims (the previous government just left them there) and it will be closed down as soon as the last person there has been checked out.

There have been many disgraceful periods in my country's history, the last 11 years is just another of them.

It's shameful to spend 20 million dollars a year to build and house people on a prison camp in the middle of the pacific instead of just letting them stand on your own soil, in freedom, for nothing. John Howard - "Australians will decide who enters Australia!" - what a fucking prick. I'm sure you guys are really goddamn squinched for room, you don't need dirty arabs ruining your soil by stepping on it!

I mean, it's a goddamn good thing that noble Norwegian vessel popped up. John Howard was just going to let it sink and let 400 people dround just so that he could show the "Australians decide who enters Australia!" And after the Norwegian vessel did the nobel thing and saved hundreds of lives from a disgraceful mass slaughter by John Howard, Howard sends a gunboat to shoot them up if they don't send them to a prison camp in Nauru - the "Pacific solution" - sounds so much like the "final solution".

Good thing that disgrace is out of your parliament. What a disgusting human being.

Aside from the dyed in the wool Howard lovers, the rest of the country has breathed a huge sigh of relief. History will be very unkind to Howard. His supporters are still singing his praises but history will put him in his place. Only the second PM since the country was founded in 1901 to lose his parliamentary seat.
