Diverse schools are taking a new approach to anti-racism: Training white parents

I can’t wait to hear the response from liberal white parents, “well I vote for Democrats so I’m not racist.”

This makes the unlikely assumption that "training" the white parents will cure all the problems and they will change their behavior. Telling them they have "white privilege" always goes over well.

There’s an element of generalization in what I’m saying but also a lot of truth. They’ll actually say “I have white privilege” and “systemic racism exists” but not much beyond that rhetoric. (And those who acknowledge their white privilege are more likely to be well educated and economically well off. It’s easier to say that when you are in that position.)
