It's a generally accepted fact in society that the government can remove a persons rights for commiting a felony (as long as it's not a cruel or unusual punishment). Putting someone in a jail cell violates far more of their rights than taking away a gun. Taking away the guns also serves a social purpose. So it's not unreasonable.
