Wait, I have a prediction. STY is gonna show up and tell us that he'll feel bad about dead judges when judges stop "breaking the constitution".

Now, there are metal detectors and security in a courthouse for a reason, evidently these probably need to be upgraded.

Obviously the laws against knives don't work. Courthouses are supposed to be knife-free zones. A man was arrested Friday afternoon after an hourlong standoff at a house in western Washington, where he allegedly fled after having shot a sheriff's deputy and stabbed a judge in the neck inside the county courthouse.http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2...-washington-state-courthouse-suspect-arrested

there are already laws against carrying certain types of knives in ca

but how did the guy get past the metal detectors?

of course they may not have any at that courthouse...

oh well

I think you need laws of table etiquette concerning the use of cutlery. Do you not know that it is the height of bad manners and boorish behaviour to precut what is on your plate and shovel it into your mouth with an upturned fork?

laws written to 'control' people will only work because most people accept being controlled. they are perhaps the most ridiculous kind of laws ever written.

SmarterThanFew only obeys laws he considers acceptable. SmarterThanFew is a true individualist.

The Second Amendment could apply to knives, too, couldn't it?
