Do you live in a 'swing state'?

If yes are you getting bombarded with political ads right now? I live in California and we see a decent number of ads about state ballot propositions but see nothing regarding the Presidential race or Congressional races. I was in Las Vegas last weekend and that place had political ads flowing left and right. I talked to my relatives in Ohio and they say they can't avoid political ads even if they try because they are everywhere. What is your state like?

Same as you Cawacko, in Ok there are hardly any presidential ads....and none on any of the local programming. Every once in a great while I see a presidential add on CNN or MSNBC, but that's about it.

I live in Mass and get Scott Brown - Elizabeth Warren ads and, because southern NH is in our media market, a fair amount of Obama-Romeny stuff.

Yes, we are bombarded with ads. During football I've seen some ad strings where there isn't a single ad for anything other than the Presidential election.

A few Obama ads, hardly any Romney, but Akaska is a very "red" state which never made sense to me because this state loves its unions.

Dung, what's your prognosis on the outcome of the Brown-Warren race?

I think Warren will win barring any major setbacks. Scott Brown was generally well-liked but hasn't done himself any favors with the way he ran his campaign and Warren gained a lot through her convention appearance. Basically, Brown was viewed as a generally nice guy that happened to be a Republican (remember, this is Mass) and now he's viewed as kind of a dick.

Maybe the people in Alaska are a little smarter than to be one issue voters....knowing that Republicans are not a threat to private industry unions....
extorting money from taxpayers is quite a different thing.

We have a large portion of our public that works for the state. They love their unions.

Michigan.....we get two to three robocalls a night....don't watch a lot of television but I know that when I watch the news I'll see four or five political ads.....

Yup and it's pretty ridiculous the number of calls I get. And mail. For some reason Mitt Romney thinks I'm a Republican. I get a big packet from him about once a week. Had I a fireplace, I might enjoy the junk mail as it crackled on the flames. Sadly however, it must simply go directly to the trash bin.

All the TV ads I see are for the WA gubernatorial race. There are also some congressional races being plugged, and the occasional initiative. That said, a PAC just started putting out an ad following the first presidential debate, which is a complete waste of their money...

dude....he wouldn't bother if he thought you already WERE a Republican....he's trying to turn you......

and Billy, what's with all our stupid issue ballots this year....everyone wants to amend our constitution.....

And here in PA...

I would like to state if you live in a state with numerous political ads I now officially feel your pain. I was watching the local news during the rain delay of the Giants-Cardinals game yesterday and there might have eight commercials in a row all on California ballot propositions. I left the channel on because I didn't know when the rain delay would end and after an hour or so I turned the TV off because I couldn't take it anymore.

I can only imagine how much someone must hate Romney and Obama if they are constantly seeing ads from them whenever you have the TV on.

Innundated is an understatement here in Ohio. The people/companies who run the media outlets here in Ohio must be loving this shit. They're making a ton of money and hardly any of it regulated and not one fucking dime of it put to productive use.
