I'm finally convinced. The Government is attempting to slowly strip my freedoms. I'm going to take action right now.

1. What kind of communist bullshit is this 'red light green light' crap? The government wants to control how I drive my car now? WTF? What if I come to a red light and there isn't traffic. What sense does it make for me to stop? And don't get me started about stop signs. The government just puts them up randomly to strip me of my freedom. No more. I'm blowing through all of them. Finally, what kind of message is the 'left' sending with their 'no RIGHT turn on red' signs? Goddamn leftists are find with left turns. But not right. Obvious what's going on there.

2. Why can't I drink and drive? The government is going to tell me that? Not happening. Ten thousand people die as a result of alcohol related accidents. The survival rate is 99.999% And if you're hurt, the hospitals are great at treating blunt force trauma and the like. And for THAT they strip everyone's right to drink and get behind the wheel? Since when is that okay in 'Merica?? Come on patriots, are you with me?

3. Taxes? Hell to the no. Enough said.

4. The bible says I can have slaves. Who the hell is the government to tell me different?

5. Prohibitions on public nudity? Did God impose those on Adam and Eve? Nope. It is my GOD GIVEN RIGHT to not wear clothes. No government is going to tell me different. USA!!! USA!!!

Let's get together and add to this list of government oppressions that we, the patriots, are going to reject. I'm not going to take it anymore.

This is traffic regulation (making traffic orderly). This allows for traffic to flow smoothly and efficiently.

This issue is not about imposition; it is about innocence.

With no knowledge of evil, nakedness was shameless and innocent, as there was no awareness of it. (see Genesis 2:25)

With knowledge of evil, the aforementioned innocence was transformed into guilt and shame. From this point forward, man had to use his conscience to distinguish between good and the newly acquired capacity to see and know evil. (see Genesis 3:7)

Oligarchies and Dictatorships are among the worst forms of government for mankind, as mankind is corrupted by sin. Such forms of government always lead to the oligarchs/dictators becoming overly authoritarian and tyrannically oppressing the people whom they govern over.

Democracies aren't any better. They allow for a mob of people to tyrannically oppress the remaining minority of people. They also tend to rather quickly dissolve into oligarchies or dictatorships.

The best form of government, given the sin-corrupted nature of man, is a Republic (rule of law... I would suggest God's law). The former USA had this, and it was great, until Satanic people weaseled their way into positions of power and began to install tyranny in its place.

Basically, because some don't know their limit, none can have the latitude to decide for themselves. And it's not like it's such a huge imposition. We want people to just pay attention to what they're doing and be the safest driver possible. Everybody is free to have a shot upon arriving safely home.

Nobody wants to have a nice dinner, relax with an after-dinner drink on the way home, make one little mistake, and accidentally kill someone.

The Law in Louisiana was "You could Drink and Drive, but you can't be Drunk and Drive". People in Louisiana would stop at the first Gas Station and buy a 6-Pack for the Drive home. :)

I want to know what's up with the govt. telling us we have to wear seatbelts whether we're actually driving or just a passenger. WTF. It's my right to go through the windshield if I want to!

And don't even get me started on all those "Keep Out. Government Property" signs at airports, police parking and impoundment lots, National Guard bases, etc. Aren't We the People the government? That makes that OUR property so we can go in there whenever we want, right?

While we're at it, what gives them the right to say that education for our kids is mandatory? We gave birth to them, it's our right as parents to raise them however we want. And if we want them raised on TV and video games, screw that whole school b.s.!

We should pick out a few interior states--maybe Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska--
and send all the libertarians there where they can live among themselves
guaranteed of all the freedoms that they seek.

Drinking excessively, at least, and then driving is probably not great ...and I don't do it, ever.

But I sure as fuck did it, especially in that period in between returning from the military and getting married,
and I honestly don't know how the hell I ever saw thirty.

One day the Gestapo and I closed down one of our favorite watering holes that was out on Rt. 28 at the time.
They had great horn bands for dancing there, and the drinks weren't watered down.

We weren't living together at the time, and we weren't in any condition for hotel chicanery,
so I guess the intent at the time was driving her home.

Except we wound up in Hartford.

I don't think drunk driving deaths are limited to any particular political persuasion, but a lot of promising young lives have been cut tragically short.

We make laws in response to society's needs.

I'm glad we have a big powerful government doing the right thing. (when it does)
