Dorothea Binz

Dutch Uncle

* Tertia Optio * Defend the Constitution
Stanley Milgram's landmark 1960s psych studies on "Obedience to Authority" became controversial because it seemed to give many Nazis a pass on their atrocities against the 11 million people murdered in Nazi death camps. While some Germans knew it was wrong, they did it anyways. The
"I was just following orders" excuse.

Some Germans like Dorothea Binz, relished the idea of torturing, raping and murdering prisoners. Convicted for her murders and rapes of prisoners, her last words before hanging were "I hope you will not think we are all evil people".

Compare this to the MAGA movement; where some are pressured to conform to accept Donald Trump as king, while most, especially in JPP, relish the idea of destroying the American Republic and shredding our Constitution. Like Binz, they are all truly evil people.

Dorothea Binz was born into a middle class family in Försterei Dusterlake; she attended school until she was fifteen years old until she entered into the profession as a maid. . However, she strongly disliked this position and in order to escape, she applied at a local SS office and was sent to Ravensbrück on September 1, 1939, to undergo training as a guard, where she became one of the most evil women associated with the concentration camps.

"I hope you will not think we are all evil people" just before her death."

There is a striking similarity of the MAGATs to those that got sucked into the fascist movement 100 years ago. Just regular people who, somehow, were convinced into conducting atrocities on their fellow Germans.

It's a fascinating area of psychological research. During Milgram's study, some people broke down in tears at having to inflict pain but pushed the button anyway.

OTOH, as JPP MAGAts prove daily, some can't wait to push the button to harm others. Weird.

Even in the most evil of hearts there is a recognition of a moral law imprinted on the human conscience that they ought to have listened to, but chose not to.
A big debate between the Nature vs. Nurture people in behavioral psychology. IMO, Binz recognized the nurture, but her nature was sadistic and selfish.
