NEW YORK (AP) -- Financial markets around the world are reeling following President Donald Trump's latest and most severe volley of tariffs, and the U.S. stock market may be taking the worst of it. The S&P 500 was down 3.3% in early trading Thursday, more than the losses seen in other major markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1150 points, and the Nasdaq composite was off 4.3%. Little was spared as fear flared globally about the potentially higher inflation and weakening economic growth that tariffs can create. Prices fell for everything from crude oil to Big Tech stocks to small companies that invest only in U.S. real estate.

Retrieved just now. So much winning.

No blaming Biden for this one.

3 months ago, America was a beacon of hope in the world - giving aid and assistance to countries in need, for things like food, medical care & education. We had friends in the world, and people who relied on us.

Now, we have declared war on the world, in a selfish act of hostility - and we have few if any friends.

One man's narcissism - one man feeling irrationally like we've been "ripped off" for years. No one else wanted this war.

Every Republican president since 1990 has crashed the economy.

The Economist magazine called Biden's economy, "the envy of the world" when he left office. Leave it to Republicans to fuck everything up.

They were right. But the power of the propaganda arm of the Trumpians -- Fox et al -- convinced the gullible that it was terrible. This is one huge flaw in our egocentric culture: far too many ppl have no clue or curiosity about what's going on in the rest of the world. A lot of us here tried to tell them, but you simply cannot fix stupid.

Trump was told that his tariffs would damage the economy. In his normal ego driven mind, he figured he knows better. So the market crashes. No surprise there. The market is driven by financial experts and bankers. They know better than Daffy Donald. Trump is neither smart nor deducted in economics. Of course, Russia was not on his tariff list. Some islands that make nothing were included though. Trump is so damn stupid. he is that special dangerous stupid. The one that thinks he is always right and the experts do not know what he knows, so he ignores them.

The stock market is not the economy, Nordy.
