Hmmmm....the DOW goes up for about 6 solid months, and not a peep out of you; it has a bad week, and you're back to the stale "hope & change" line?
Desperate...
Populism can work to get bad policy elected if people don't continue to point out the pitfalls. Now "too big to fail" is a problem that we can solve and both parties should get behind.

I don't buy into the 'too big to fail' argument. The steel industry was once a mega portion of the GDP and employer. So too the railroads. Now the gov't has been subsidizing the RR for years, yet people seldom ride Amtrack, not nearly enough to make profitable. So?
On the other hand, they just let the steel industry move to Japan and Germany, regardless of job loss. Why? Dirty industry.
Businesses need to care for their own houses or not. They have to adjust, modernize, or not.

Mr Obama and congress, needs to enact new banking legislation now, so we never, ever have to bailout another bank or financial institution that is too big to fail! These people's greed and lust for profits cause this economic mess we are in now! So, should we let the banks, police themselves?! Alan Greenspan, said, without new banking legislation, this will happen again in the future!

Ken brings up a legit point. Isn't it the proposed legislation that spooked the markets the past couple of days? Now if the legislation is good and needed then it has to be done regardless of how the market reacts but the debate is obviously is what's been proposed good legislation? Has it gone to far?

The Dims need an enemy for every occasion...someone to blame for their own inadequacy..they don't have a clue what to do except keep the Bush tax cuts and they can't swallow that....Create an enemy and then enact more regulations and laws to give the impression they have a remedy, all the while hoping the problems will cure themselves with time....
