Drunk driving laws are over the top.

If one were to have a pre-dinner cocktail,
a glass of wine with dinner,
and a digestif with one's after dinner coffee,

in many states,
a perfectly normal restaurant meal like that
would put some people over the legal limit.

This is a serious American deficiency.

We have too many lawmakers who put appearance and political correctness over cogent thought and reason.

It's almost as if we're trying to not be civilized.
