Mega MAGA
Let me start off this post by saying that, unfortunately, We The People (and President Trump) are in a very tough spot right now. Because of this, expanded war against Russia is likely to occur even though both President Trump (and We The People) and President Putin (and the Russian people) do NOT want this war to continue, let alone ramp up even further.
President Trump, while campaigning for a second term, talked about getting on the phone with President Putin and quickly ending this war, and just as he said he would do, he immediately started talks with President Putin to end the war. As a result of those talks, President Trump and President Putin are both on the same page; they both want the war to STOP. So, if both of them want the war to stop, then why is the war still continuing despite both of them being opposed to continued war? Obviously, other players are involved who are actually continuing the war despite both of their wishes to end it (namely, NATO & the USA intelligence apparatus)...
It is now very obvious to me that, at this point in time (and likely for many decades now), the President of the United States does NOT actually have any meaningful control over the actions of the United States Intelligence apparatus (even though, as the head Executive, he is technically supposed to have control over it). Read the bolded words again if necessary, and do so as many times as needed in order for it to sink in.
This means that We The People (via President Trump) are in a VERY difficult situation. How is President Trump supposed to fix this issue? He pretty much only has two options, and they are both VERY ugly..
1) Publicly admit that he does NOT actually have control over the US Intelligence apparatus (IOW, publicly admit that they are rogue agencies).
2) Forcefully take control over the US Intelligence apparatus (so that they are no longer rogue).
#1 is the easier option to take, but how would that make President Trump look? Very weak... NOT good. However, what would option #2 even look like? How would one actually accomplish it? Without making the fight public (which is option #1), Trump would very likely end up like JFK did... IOW, a lose/lose situation.
Currently, President Trump is now attempting a third approach in which he doesn't have to publicly admit that he doesn't have control over the US Intelligence apparatus yet he doesn't have to privately fight to forcefully take control over it. Right now, President Trump is trying to take a "middle" approach of stopping the USA's direct support by sending the weapons to NATO instead of Ukraine. This approach will then require NATO to drop their pretenses about their "lack of involvement" in this war as they then directly send those weapons to the proxy state (Ukraine, which is NOT a NATO country btw) to use against Russia.
The one thing that MIGHT stall out an expanded USA/NATO war against Russia would be the fact that the "lead" NATO countries (Germany, France, UK) are likely too cowardly to expand the war against Russia without the USA's presence in the forefront position. However, if they choose to do so, and then Russia retaliates by attacking one of those NATO countries, then the USA (via NATO agreement) will be pulled into an expanded war against Russia.
It's a really shitty situation for us (and for President Trump) to be in. Let's see what President Trump has to say about this war in his "major statement" on Monday..........
