Elon Musk has made it very clear that he believes posts on his social media platform are as credible—and perhaps even more so—than content from traditional news outlets.

"You are the media now," Musk posted several times in recent weeks, suggesting users on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, could replace traditional journalists.

Such commentary from Musk has been driving away many reporters and even news organizations, yet, some media brands have remained on X. The reason is simple, even as Musk is hostile to the media it maintains a huge base of users.

Of course it can be trusted. See:

The apartheid punk will tell you anything if you listen to him. I do believe that his mental bubble is close to bursting, as he's beginning to babble like a second rate Goebbels (if Goebbels had the internet and AI bots back in the day). Trust me, if things start turning in the 2026 midterm elections and 'X' really starts bleeding users, the Apartheid Punk will pull up stakes and retreat to what's left of his car company holdings and such.

The left is so far behind the times. They're blissfully clueless that the legacy media kicked the bucket ages ago. There might as well be a special "Libtard Network" where they can all jack in and get their daily dose of delusion. Every radical channel out there is spewing the same tired narrative, providing a daily injection of nonsense that's about as uplifting as a trip to brown town - and just as fleeting.

Nothing strikes more terror into the heart of those dying media giants and their drone-like junkies than the thought of losing their fix. It's like you've threatened to snatch away their security blanket, they'll wail and pitch a fit like toddlers if you even think about taking it away.

What a wet dream! Any and all radical left-wing media fleeing X won't be missed any more than a bad smell. X is flush with cash, free speech is back from the brink, and it's run with the precision of a Swedish train station - just like the rest of Elon's ventures. So, good riddance to bad trash.

Blah blah Fox News talking points blah blah

Trump wants to control media.
Since too many Americans get their news off X, FB and TikTok, he only needs to control social media. Now that Musk and Zuckerberg have aligned with him, Trump's support for TikTok makes more sense.

Trump: ‘Why would I want to get rid of TikTok?’

President-elect Trump doubled down on his support for TikTok on Friday, as the popular social media app prepares to argue against an impending ban before the Supreme Court next week.

“Why would I want to get rid of TikTok?” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, accompanied by an image touting his accounts’ statistics on TikTok.

Trump’s personal account has received 1.4 billion total views on the video-sharing app and sees 24 million views per post on average, according to the statistics shared by the president-elect.

His campaign account has received 2.4 billion total views and sees 6 million average views per post; the @teamtrump account has received eight times more total views on TikTok than on Instagram.

Trump, who vowed to “save TikTok” during his campaign, asked the Supreme Court last week to delay a law that requires the app’s China-based parent company ByteDance to divest or face a ban on U.S. networks and app stores starting Jan. 19.
