The dad was equally funny
Oh Peter Boyle is hilarious. He was brilliant in Young Frankenstein as the monster. His debut move "Joe" was a classic. He was literally the inspiration for Norman Lear to create his Archie Bunker character in "All In The Family". I mean if any of the silent majority right wing kkkonservative mysanthropes want to watch a way back movie they would love it's "Joe".

Actually that movie hurt Boyle's career cause it was a low budget movie that made a lot of money and gave him a lot of notoriety but he refused to play roles in movies with gratuitous violence for a long time after that and he missed an opportunity to become an A list actor.
