England is a cup of tea
France, a wheel of ripened brie
Greece, a short, squat olive tree
America is a gun.

Brazil is football on the sand
Argentina, Maradona’s hand
Germany, an oompah band
America is a gun.

Holland is a wooden shoe
Hungary, a goulash stew
Australia, a kangaroo
America is a gun.

Japan is a thermal spring
Scotland is a highland fling.
Oh better to be anything
than America as a gun.

America is indeed a gun.
No judgment. Simply an observation. I frankly don't care, one way or another.

We can choose to make it something else, perhaps,
but what we make it wouldn't be America.

America is a gun.

Doucheland is far more a gun than America. We didn't invent any of the ideologies that laid waste to the world last century. Who are the equivalents of Marx, Bismarck, Nietzsche, Hitler, and Marcuse?

Deutschland has a tradition of warring but one of science and music as well.
Criticizing them for having a multitude of philosophers and academics is also embarrassingly anti-intellectual.
Also, Deutschland is not the one nation on the planet to have used nuclear weapons in warfare. That would be us.

America is the gun, not Germany, because the American people themselves are armed to the teeth and always have been.
We are the only nation on earth, to my knowledge, where the right to bear arms is a constitutionally guaranteed right that goes with being a citizen in good standing.
America is very clearly the gun. It's what the entire world knows us for. It will never change, so we may as well at least learn learn to live with it,
and some among us will continue to revel in it.

An ode to reductionist simplistic prejudice.

Given the level of fail, is there even any way to distinguish between their philosophies and warring? The right to bare arms came from English common law, although, we added the bit about having the right to defend against government tyranny. Since the English constitution is unwritten, they were able to make the protections go away.

Thanks to German philosophy, there are people all over the world who are ready to commit mass atrocities at the drop of a hat. They just need the resources to carry them out.

No American can argue with that, unfortunately.

"As of March 31,[2021], 126 mass shootings fit the Mass Shooting Tracker project criterion, leaving 148 people dead and 481 injured, for a total of 629 total victims, some including the shooter(s)."
