A former Bangor Area High School teacher charged with having sex with a 17-year-old student — and who authorities believe may have had sex with as many as three other students — will face Northampton County Court action.
Rachel L. Farrell, 25, waived her right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Joseph Barner on three counts of corrupting a minor, a misdemeanor, for allegations involving a boy she was teaching 11th-grade reading. The teen told police he and Farrell began communicating on Facebook and had sexual encounters "numerous times at many different locations," according to court records.
