Sad, but it appears this father and murderer, like most MAGAts, has severe mental health issues.

Travis Decker shows up in several social media posts from current and past members of the armed forces. Based on FOX 13 Seattle’s review of those accounts and other social media profiles, Decker likely has advanced infantry combat training. Multiple Facebook and Instagram posts show Decker show he was an airborne paratrooper who earned his elite ‘Ranger’ tab – meaning he has elite wilderness evasion and survival skills. A different social media profile under his name claims he qualified as an instructor at the US Army’s National Guard Warrior Training Center at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Authorities are still searching for Decker. It is unknown whether he is currently armed, and he may pose a significant risk if approached. Anyone who believes they may have seen Decker since Friday, May 30, or knows his current whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. Due to safety concerns, the public is advised not to attempt to contact or approach Decker.

Missing girls found dead

The three girls, ages 9, 8, and 5, were reported missing on Friday, May 30, at 9:45 p.m., after their mother told police they had not been returned following a planned visitation with Decker. Decker was believed to be living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck, Washington license D20165C.

yeah, you never made that reference or intimation at all.

more running from your words, we see.
Do you ever wonder why your claim of being "smarter than you" is laughable to so many people?

What words am I running from? Any educated person can see the reference is to mental illness. You chose to overlook the mental illness aspect in order to go into defense mode in support of your fellow MAGAts and traitors.

If you see something, say something ...particularly if there are concerns about a veteran's mental stability.... Red flags shouud never be ignored.... And even more particularly if children are involved at all.... These little girls would be alive today... A mother's life would not be over.... This veteran needed help that he wasn't getting...

Nothing would have been done since our nation lacks sufficient laws regarding the mentally ill. They have to commit a crime first.

I have never understood the depth of insanity it would take to kill your children.

My guess is that he'll be found dead by his own hand. The key to understanding why is someone kills their own kids is the motivation. To cover their tracks? One kid was too sick to carry on? In this case I think it was depression and dark thoughts of "the end of the world". Mental illness is often a major factor as with Andrea Yates and Dena Schlosser.

A mental health "moonshot" program would go a long way to identifying and resolving such problems.

It takes a special kind of depravity to kill one's own children, and that's one crime I support the death penalty for.

True, but the link and other sources indicate he was mentally ill. I suspect he's dead by his own hand. If not, then shooting on sight works for me.
Armed and dangerous, don'tcha know.

You know better than me, but I think that except for exceptional cases, most mentally ill people have a sense that murder is wrong. Somebody with mild or moderate schizophrenia or bipolar should be aware sticking a knife in someone's neck is beyond the pale.

The fact that this guy went on the lam tells me all I need to know about whether he knew he did great evil.

Not a lawyer. There's legally insane which is often not knowing the difference between right and wrong and there's irrational behavior.

Have you ever done something knowing you shouldn't but did it anyway? Killing is that irrationality taken to an extreme. I used to be an airline union safety rep. In Safety, our job was to identify the problem and find solutions to prevent it from happening again, not to fix blame. I never investigated any smoking holes or fatalities, but did sit in on a lot of incident investigations with the FAA, the airline, sometimes the NTSB and other pertinent parties. I can't tell you how many times a pilot being investigated was asked "Why did you do it?" and the response was something like "I don't know. I knew it was wrong but did it anyway."

I don't have the answers but know that good people sometimes do really stupid things for unexplained reasons.

FWIW, I didnt' get into safety for altruistic reasons. "To help people". After burying a bunch of friends, I realized I wasn't invulnerable and began looking for ways to save my own stupid ass from the mistakes others had made. Some of which I'd done myself but survived out of pure luck. Going into Safety allowed me to have direct access to all the information and to learn from the mistakes of others. One big lesson was, "If there's doubt, then there's no doubt; do the safe thing". Usually, the safe thing was to simply follow procedure.

IDK what Travis Decker was thinking when he murdered his own daughters, but it seems to clearly be an irrational act. One which I think he deeply regrets which is why I doubt he'll be found alive.
