Thought provoking, with some solutions

Nationally acclaimed journalist Roland Martin discusses his eye-opening new book, “White Fear: How the Browning of America Is Making White Folks Lose Their Minds.” With the U.S expected to become a majority-minority nation as early as 2043, Martin argues the deep-seated fear that many white people currently feel — of losing power, economic standing, or a particular way of life

left leaning bullshit

How is it bullshit, demographics show America is becoming less Occidental every year, and the rise of right wing hate groups proves the reality is upsetting many white Americans

As the 1920’s showed, the “return to normalcy” theme was actually a nativist movement

there is no rise in hate groups, just closer observation of the ones that are there. they are also a fringe element of society, less than 5% of the total population

"In 2009, I came across a survey question that asked, “Are you optimistic about the future of America for your children?” African Americans, Latinos, Asians, and the majority said yes, the only group that was less than the majority was white Americans. At the time, I said, we’re living in the beginning stages of white minority resistance. Trust me. What’s about to happen with Obama? We’re about to see Americans really freak out because the nation’s demographics are changing. We’re moving towards a nation becoming majority people of color, and when you begin to look at the reaction to [Obama’s] presidency and other areas that bore that out, white Americans have perceptions that they might be losing their financial and social status when people of color make gains in those areas. You’ve got so many folks in this country who are not happy because they cannot handle that. What I lay out in the book, and what I need our people to understand, is that this has historic parallels. You have always seen this in the history of America—Black success has always been followed by white backlash. We’re dealing with that again. The same thing happened after the Civil Rights Movement, and that has been the history of white people in this country, and we have to understand that we’re still dealing with that."

Simply put, the rise of hate groups and the increase in the number of hate crimes in the United States is an epidemic. Over the past 20 years, the number of hate groups in the United States increased by over 100%. Though the number of hate groups dipped during the end of Barack Obama’s first presidential term, they rose sharply in the middle of his second term and continued to rise during Donald Trump’s presidential term. Hate crimes were over 200% higher in places where Trump campaigned in 2016.

Doubt that, and certainly not what law enforcement entities are saying based upon studies covering decades.

The other day, I go with some of the grandkids to a store that sells aquarium fish to get some. There's a Black guy in the store wearing a red ballcap, red jacket, red tennis shoes, a red T-shirt, and red stitched jeans. What would you assume about him?

why is it that people are more than willing to accept SOME tidbits from law enforcement as factual, yet denounce them in others? is it that hard for you people to have any consistency in what or who you believe, other than your own predetermined delusions?

Any work that simply spreads leftist HATE under the pretense of speaking for how an entire class of people think, should go directly into the trash.

guno, how could you endorse such bigotted HATE? Are you openly admitting to being a total bigot and HATER?

They are consistent. They consistently only believe what supports their narrative and whine like the little bitches they are about things that don't.

I honestly wouldn't assume anything. If he acted like an asshole though then I'd know. What would you assume?

He likes red.

That he's a Blood and a gangster. That doesn't mean a problem automatically, but it does mean you need to exercise more caution.

I see. Well I figure since I'm not a member of a rival gang I'm probably pretty safe as long as I'm respectful which I tend to be with all but the biggest of assholes. I admit though that got me into a lot of problems when I was younger.

It's no different than walking into a bar and finding a bunch of bikers with their colors on, or anything else like that. It isn't that something will happen, but it is definitely possible something bad might happen.

He likes the color red?

Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day, I’m sure I’ll see some dimwit dressed head to toe in emerald green, does that mean I can imply he is a Provo?

Oh believe me I know. But I have generally found that being respectful is very effective at minimizing the possibility of trouble but sometimes it's unavoidable and I can attest to that.

So the documented rise in right wing hate groups is in reality a predetermined delusion?
