familiar pattern of politics

When leftists hold power, they wield it to full effect. If anyone objects to their raw exercise of power, they are told 'hey, we won!' and 'elections have consequences'. They maximize the power of the majority. They have little, if any, concern for tradition, cooperation, or 'bipartisanship'.

When they are OUT of power, the leftists completely change their tune. They tell us that elections are only passing historical events and that relationships are what really matter. They tell us that the majority has to work with the minority, appealing to things like tradition, cooperation, bipartisanship, and our delicate constitutional balance.

Now, before anyone can call me out about being a 'rightie', make no mistake. The right is not any different. it's all about power for them and how they can wield it against their political enemies.

you can also guarantee that after this election, it will be exactly the same way for whoever holds that power.

And anarchists think they should be able to do whatever the hell they want until someone does something toward them they don't like.

I agree and would like to add that after they are in power they all basically say "we had to do it because the other guys wouldn't give us our way". Then if the other Sid contemplates the same actions the left says "two wrongs don't make a right"

Remember when Zell Miller switched parties and put the Senate in control of the GOP? The democrat party had a fit and demanded that the GOP "share" power. Of course did they give the same consideration when the traitor Specter switched parties to force Obamacare on us.

Not not true, Biden just got major legislative measures thru Congress with bipartisan support, infrastructure and semi conductor bill being a few examples
