When leftists hold power, they wield it to full effect. If anyone objects to their raw exercise of power, they are told 'hey, we won!' and 'elections have consequences'. They maximize the power of the majority. They have little, if any, concern for tradition, cooperation, or 'bipartisanship'.
When they are OUT of power, the leftists completely change their tune. They tell us that elections are only passing historical events and that relationships are what really matter. They tell us that the majority has to work with the minority, appealing to things like tradition, cooperation, bipartisanship, and our delicate constitutional balance.
Now, before anyone can call me out about being a 'rightie', make no mistake. The right is not any different. it's all about power for them and how they can wield it against their political enemies.
you can also guarantee that after this election, it will be exactly the same way for whoever holds that power.
