Felicity Huffman says she broke the law to give her child ‘a chance at a future’

I certainly understand how she feels, but she was completely wrong. All the sensible people(excluding the alt right) try to get our children into the best school possible. But going to a less prestiges school is not the end of the world. Going to Carnegie Mellon is very good. It is not Harvard, but still very good.

The daughter was guaranteed to go to a good school, and she should have been happy with that.

She saw it as survival. "My child is starving. I must steal food to save her life" makes sense. It is committing a crime, but to save your child, it seems reasonable.

She lost perspective. Rather than being overjoyed that her daughter could go to a really good school (which is a real blessing), she thought it was absolutely essential that her daughter go to one of the best schools.

Carnegie Mellon is a very, very good school, but it is not one of the best. If you take a step back, what she did was beyond immoral, it was just silly(and immoral, and criminal). Sadly, sometimes people do not take a step back.

I wonder if trump causes things, or merely mirrors them. trump appears to random try out plans, and go with whatever works. he tried to be a Democrat, but the Democrats would not have him, so he became a Republican. he was strongly for single payer socialist medicine, and abortion, until he realized his supporters were against both.

Not just a good school, but a very good school. And her child will have no student debt. The debt makes it harder to complete college, and harder to get a job afterwards. Her child will also be able to get unpaid internships, which poorer students cannot afford.

Her child has been blessed with everything that can legally be given to a child in our society, which makes her wanting more so silly. At the same time, I can understand her thinking. I too want my children to go to the best schools. I would hope that I do not go into unreasonable territory like she did.
