DEMOCRAT

Obama owes his election to the highest office to, in large part, the voting power of the Democrat base.

With a strong emphasis on courting minority, female, young and impoverished voters, Democrats have long relied upon these groups and the candidacy of Obama was no exception.

However, it seems that the spell of “hope and change” has worn off as Obama’s popularity has plummeted.

According to a Gallup Poll, Obama is losing ground with his base, including Hispanics whose favorable opinion of the president has plummeted a whopping 23 points since December 2012.

The poll juxtaposes December 2012, right after the election, with November of 2013, which found Obama mired in the Obamacare disaster.
