the only thing Maher is pissed about, is the Obama is not moving to the far left fast enough for him...

Maher is another ugly, hateful liberal comedian, with a mug only his mother could love..:)
 
I think Nixon said it best to Ike when Ike was facilating about choosing him as a running mate. "At some point you either have to shit or get off the pot.".

I'd agree with that as well.

I think Maher, like many disgruntled on the left, simply has no stomach for the utter weakness of the Democratic Party but finds himself with few options.

"Libertarian" is much more socially and politically acceptable than say .. "socialist" .. but we agree on much.
 
Bill knows a lot about getting things done in gov. Especially with right wingnuts who called you a muslem and now have diversion as thier main strategy.
 
I imagine that lots of those "Yes We Can" balloons are starting to pop by now.

And some are Democrats who try to make themselves appear less partisan by calling themselves something they aren't.

Maher is funny enough, but taking his stuff seriously is sad. It's like that inane show where he and 7 other democrats all sit and bash some Republican actor he found somewhere who was foolish enough to show up for the abuse...

Maher is a social liberal, economic moderate. If you expanded the definition of libertarian really far, he would fit in on the left side. Of course, right-wingers often stretch the definition of libertarian really, really fucking far to fit themselves in, and few complain about that. Which is why the word has devolved into really meaning secular conservative.

you wouldn't know what a Libertarian was even if you landed smack dab in the middle of a convention of them. To you, anything that isn't totalitarian is anarchic.
