The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, the grassroots organization sponsoring the April 15 Tax Day Tea Parties across the country, announced this morning that it will broadcast the group’s regular Monday conference call LIVE at 4 pm pacific, 7 pm est, on Pajamas TV
Michael Patrick Leahy, co-founder of Top Conservatives on Twitter, one of the four grassroots organizations that comprise the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, called tonight’s live broadcast ” a landmark advance in the melding of technology, collaboration, and grass roots activism that is defining the virally growing Tea Party Movement. PJM’s support of the movement is invaluable in that it allows citizens who have long felt shut out of the mainstream media a place to speak out and be heard. We’re thankful for the vision they have shown in providing a platform where the people can speak.”
The Tax Day Tea Party on April 15 is focused on one theme: Repeal the Pork, Cut Taxes and Spending. There are more than 500 tea parties confirmed for that day, and it is expected that over the next week and a half, the number of tea parties will continue to grow. Crowds of 5,000 to 10,000 are expected in multiple cities, including Atlanta, where Sean Hannity of Fox News will be broadcasting live, Sacramento, where Neal Cavuto will host his show, San Antonio, where Glenn Beck will broadcast, and New York City, where Newt Gingrich will be a featured speaker.
The conference call and broadcast will document the real time interaction of the leaders of the four grassroots organizations that have provided centralized coordination to the Tea Party Movement – Eric Odom from the Dontgo Movement, Jenny Beth Martin from Smart Girl Politics, Adam Waldeck, on behalf of American Solutions, and Michael Patrick Leahy, representing #TCOT.
Viewers will hear from the nationwide network of tea party organizers across the country. Live in studio we’ll have the lead organizers from two of the largest events in the nation, Amy Kremer from Atlanta, and Mark Meckler from Sacramento,California. Additionally, it is anticipated that over 150 organizers will participate interactively in the call, and hundreds of others will participate by listening to the call on Patriots Heart Network on BlogTalk Radio, and on Pajamas TV.
