I was waiting for him to start stamping his feet. He had the audacity to say the people want the government to, "slow down, not to cram through more than this system can handle".

It's been 45 years since Medicare. It was 10 year prior to that when talks began concerning Medicare and it was another 30 years before that when talks of instituting a medical plan were discussed.

Slow down? Don't cram?

Is the man insane? "Talks" began before he was born!!

As Ms. Pelosi aptly stated, "The bill, she said, would lead to "healthier lives, more liberty to pursue hopes and dreams and happiness." The vote, she said, "honored the character of this country," calling health care a "right, not a privilege."


That's what it's all about. Healthy people pursuing their dreams. People having the right to be healthy.

As President Obama stated, "The time is now."

The RNC and DNC know what type of ads appeal to their base i.e. - big donors and for the right Nancy is one.

While it is cool to say I live on the same street as the Speaker of the House I will shed no tears if she loses her position.

I'm not surprised that California, Texas, Florida, New York and Illinois are on there. Look at the size of the states and the money the people have who live there. Yes California is a Democratically controlled state but there are Republicans here and there are rich Republicans here so that it is included is not really a surprise.

It probably has more to do that the people of California realize Nancy did nothing for her state when she could and continues to be nothing more than a puppet for the Democratic Party. The Dems would eat her alive if they had any old reason.

My point was more looking at that map the most donations came from the biggest states and the states with the most money. That's not to say there aren't people with money in places like Montana or Idaho or New Mexico but I wasn't surprised that the most money came from the states where people have the most money whether Democrats control them or not.

Here's a though, offer Cheney fesses up as to who sat in on that energy meeting and tell how Libby got his hands on VP "eyes only" material, then maybe you can get Pelosi to step down.

Why are you living in the last decade? I thought you people were "forward-thinking" and "progressive" not "mired in the past" and "regressive!" Cheney is a former VP who holds no public office, I don't want a dime of my tax money going to investigate, probe, prattle, or pry at people who no longer serve the public. Why are you suddenly worried about who sat in on an energy meeting in 2006? Do you know how many FOIA requests have been denied by the Obama Administration, regarding all kinds of meetings and dealings in 2009-10... I think the total is somewhere around 460,000.... so when we get transparency there, maybe we can revisit Cheney's energy meeting, although, I don't see what purpose it would serve now.

And oh by the fucking way... FIRE Nancy Pelosi has absolutely NOTHING to do with asking the Prozac-induced bitch to "step down" ...she'll step down alright, but she won't be asked.
