Here is the only version of a Firearm background check that I could support:
1. The Photo ID background check would be the same as a Cop swiping your driver's license, basically instantaneous. With the Computer programs available today, that would be possible.
2. If the person does not pass the background check, then that person would be contacted for further review, as to why they were turned down, possible mistakes etc. If the Feds messed up that gun transaction, then they would pay a $1000 fine to the prospective gun buyer who was erroneously turned down/rejected.
3. The type, make, serial number etc. of the weapon(S)would not be submitted to the background checkers.
4. The quantity of guns desired to be purchased would not be submitted. The only thing that would be submitted would be the person's Driver License(ID), it would be the responsibility of the gun seller to check ID photos, etc. The penalty for falsifying background check ID(i.e. fake Driver's License), concerning the identification of the buyer would be a felony with mandatory jail time required.
5. Anyone attempting to buy a firearm, while submitting false ID would be subject to a felony 5+ year jail term.
If there are any suggestions to my proposal, please submit them, I will consider all of them and then forward this suggestion to the RIGHT People.
