Whenever a leftist starts running and screaming in a forum about science and how Conservatives don't get it, we Conservatives know they're full of shit, but we simply don't have the time, or wherewithal for that matter, to sit down and really spell it out for them. This is why I immediately turn to people who've already taken the time & resources to help carefully spell out why democrats are the biggest shitheads the world has ever been plagued with.

That's largely true but it hasn't always been that way. When I was in college most scientist in academia self Identified as conservatives and Republicans because the vast majority of scientist rejected liberal postmodernism (and still do). That began to change in the 90's when the GOP took a hard turn to the right and embraced authoritarianism and began attacking the validity of science when it contradicted either financial vested interest or deeply held conservative cultural/social/religious beliefs.
