Florida's Snowflake Law

White Men's Kryptonite
DeSantis has gone full snowflake in an attempt to protect the feelings of his delicate little flowering supporters:

"A bill pushed by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that would prohibit public schools and private businesses from making white people feel “discomfort” when they teach students or train employees about discrimination in the nation’s past received its first approval Tuesday."

It's basically a page from the Kremlin's playbook.

The Kremlin decided they never wanted Russia to talk about or have an accounting of Stalinist crimes because it would make some people uncomfortable.

Oh how interesting, sounds like them.

An individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, does not bear responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex.
(which is what CRT does with "systemic racism" charges)

An individual should not be made to feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race.”

The bill is called “Individual Freedom.” Republican Sen. Manny Diaz, its sponsor, said it is not about ignoring the “dark” parts of American history, but rather ensuring that people are not blamed for sins of the past.

“No individual is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously, solely by the virtue of his or her race or sex,” Diaz said. “No race is inherently superior to another race.”

Idk what's going with DeSantis and this bill, seems ludicrous. However, thx for the link as it provides me a cudgel to beat CRT advocates about the head with. Good stuff!

"Critical race theory is a way of thinking about America’s history through the lens of racism."

So why is that necessary in 2022, hmm?

It shits all over MLK Jr.'s legacy, I'll tell you that.

Children will just be children until Democrats inject racist bullshit into the equation.

No surprise...when I first read it I thought to myself, "this bill gives off more small dick energy than anatta..."

That bill is up to the FL state legislature to take up. Which one of y'all motherfuckers in this thread does that affect?

its much worse then "thinking thru the lens"..it starts with the premise white people are oppressors - simply because you are white.
being white - no matter your life actions -still makes you an "oppressor"

That is the basis for the more actionable "systemic racism" - since that means equity and not equal opportunity is the remedy

How pathetic are Republicans that they ban freedom of speech when it mentions anything that makes them feel uncomfortable?

So slavery, Civil War and Civil Rights Act shouldn't be taught in public schools because "it makes the white students feel bad"?

Just in case you didn't read Anatta's post

All that should be taught in school. Black and white children shouldn't be taught the white ones are "Oppressors" and "privileged" and the black ones were "Horribly abused and are owed something" when none of them had any control over any of that. Also there were black slave owners and white (Irish) slaves.

The CRT bullshit lies and fucking distorts American history. Indians practiced slavery, too. Black people owned slaves in America from the jump.

The "Shot heard 'round the world" that kicked off the American Revolution was a black man getting shot that had many friends.

That's right, a black man getting shot started The American Revolution. Now if he wasn't important, why did all those people fight? Hmm?

Don't let these haters fool ya, they want power over you, not to help you.

CRT is designed to divide America. Please people, do not fall for this bullshit.

It's unwritten that we all know it's bullshit where I live, but I get the vibes from most people they know it's bullshit.

We have a saying here, maybe you internet goobers can attribute it to something..

But it goes "We're all in this thing together." (That's just a FL/GA thing really)

Correct.

False.

Correct. That isn't being taught in public schools.
