They are programmed, upon encountering any non-state-approved viewpoint, to regurgitate some bit of state-approved-programming in response. Upon a conservative's successful refutation of said state-approved-programming (which causes, inside the libtard mind, a syntax error of sorts), the "reset" response at that point is to regurgitate a set of insults (as often as needed) until their programmer gets around to updating their software to hyper-focus on the next big "injustice" for which "Trump/MAGA/conservatives" are to blame. Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

Absolutely, although I don't find myself debating them often, but it does happen and I keep it clean unless it goes otherwise. I have in fact got into a mudslinging contest with a 'Maga' as you call them or us. It got ugly, but we made up and all is well now. So, yes that goes for anyone.
