Former D.C. Councilman Harry Thomas Jr. was sentenced to more than three years in prison Thursday for stealing $353,500 from a public fund intended for youth sports, the Washington Examiner reports.

“Thomas, who represented Ward 5 for five years until he resigned in January as part of his guilty plea, was allowed to leave court with his family and has agreed to surrender at a federal prison to serve his 38-month term when ordered,” the report adds.

A white poster, calling attention to some non-newsworthy event, such as a black councilman being arrested or convicted of a crime. A white poster posting a thread, for no other reason than attempting to portray blacks or people of color as "other-worldly", inherently "criminal", or atypical. As if you had to ask.

How do you define newsworthy? You don't think a councilman stealing 300,000 dollars and being sentenced to jail isn't newsworthy?

I agree with this part, that seems obvious enough. Though I think you are assuming something without any evidence. How do you know what yurts motives are? And how do you know that it's the only reason he's posting it? I would think that posting about a corrupt politician getting his comeuppance is the exact type of thing you would expect to see on a political forum. If you are going to make those claims, well - Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

There you go, again, being intentionally "obtuse". Yurt's racist and inane antics are well-known to the forum. He has probably logged more irrelevant threads centered around race, President Obama and posters that he doesn't like or appreciate than anyone else here.
And don't give me any bs, about supplying evidence. The evidence is readily available to anyone looking for it. You don't demand that your white posse (STY, USF, DY, all the dead presidents) cough up any evidence. calling those three my "posse" just shows your ignorance. I like STY, though don't talk to him much. USF is cool in werewolf games, but we don't agree much politically. As for DY, we banned him on your word, if you remember (rather quickly and swiftly too, i might add). Damn yankee and I don't associate at all, and again, we don't agree on much politically. You would do well to not put people you don't like into the same boxes for your own convenience.

Also many would disagree on your assertion that yurt is a racist.
