Former number two in Trumps DHS endorses Biden

In a scathing and frightening op-ed in the Washington Post and in a video annnouncement, Miles Taylor, former number two in Trumps DHS, endorsed Joe Biden. "Given what I have experienced in the administration, I have to support Joe Biden for president, and even though I am not a Democrat, even though I disagree on key issues, I'm confident that Joe Biden will protect the country and I'm confident that he won't make the same mistakes as this president," said Taylor, explaining his decision to endorse the Democratic candidate.

Here is just a sampling of what Taylor saw while working in the Administration:

""What we saw week in and week out, and for me, after two and a half years in that administration, was terrifying, We would go in to try to talk to him about a pressing national security issue – cyberattack, terrorism threat – he wasn't interested in those things. To him, they weren't priorities."

That's right, Trump didn't care about the threats to national security. Instead he was more interested in using his office to punish immigrants and extract revenge on people he believed did not support him.

When Trump announced his intention to restart family separation, Taylor said that ""He wanted to go further and have a deliberate policy of ripping children away from their parents to show those parents they shouldn't come to the border in the first place. "He didn't want us to tell him it was illegal anymore because he knew that there were, and these were his words, he knew he had 'magical authorities".

Trump ACTUALLY wanted to physically tear children away from their parents. This is a man that the Trump Cult supports. But Trumps cruelty wasn't reserved for immigrants.

"He told us to stop giving money to people whose houses have burned down in a wildfire because he was so rageful that people in the state of California didn't support him and that politically it wasn't a base for him," Mr Taylor said.

Cut off funding for people who have lost their homes, because Trump was angry they might not have voted for him.

This is not the ramblings of a disgruntled former employee. These are the words of a man who witnessed first hand the cruelty, stupidity, and arrogance of the man in the White House. If you support him, you do not care about this country. You are a traitor. There is no need to sugar coat this. Donald Trump is a threat to the country, an amoral narcissist, and totally unfit to serve in any role in government. He belongs in jail. History will not be kind to him, or to his supporters. And neither will the rest of us. You have been warned.

So? You know he retired from DHS and took a job at Google. He had no problems with Trump's policies prior to his retirement and in fact championed many of them. Seems now he needs to be politically correct at his new job if you ask me...

Instead of addressing Trumps frightening and cruel behavior, you excuse it. Speaks volumes about you.

No, I'm pointing out that this guy suddenly has major problems with Trump after he gets hired at Google, a known Progressive sympathizer as a corporation and corporate culture when he was mostly a cheerleader for Trump when employed in the administration. It smacks of self-serving politics rather than an honest assessment. That doesn't excuse Trump for anything. It doesn't even address what Trump is or isn't doing. It addresses what Taylor is doing and nothing more.

That is the gist of this thread, not Trump's behavior so your response amounts to either a strawman or a red herring.

Nope. The gist of the thread is Trumps behavior which you are excusing. I should know, I wrote it.
