Fortunate Son

FUCK THE POLICE

911 EVERY DAY

[Verse 1]
Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Ooh they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays Hail to the Chief
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord

[Chorus ]
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son, no

[Verse 2]
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, no
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yeah

[Chorus]
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, no no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son, no

[Verse 3]
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord

And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More, more, more!

[Chorus/Outro]
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son, no no no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate son, no no no

The song is about all of the fortunate sons who through their privilege were able to avoid fighting in the war. It was not literally about one guy who's dad happened to match every single privilege mention.

it a direct line out of the song dude
