Fox News: "Mistakes", or deliberate pattern

I've never noticed other networks making these kind of mistakes consistently. Or, maybe I just never noticed.

Whenever a news event puts a republican in an embarrassing light, the Fox News screen graphics put a (D) next to the politicians name, rather than an (R).

I mean, does anybody in the news business think Arlen Specter is a (D) Senator? When he unloaded and went ballistic on a member of his own party (Gonzalez) yesterday, Fox news identified him as a D.

To me, this one was a little more revealing than the last one. Hardcore conservatives have always seen Specter as a Republican-in-name-only...

I was thinking the same thing: maybe the news crew at Fox is so psychologically trapped in their own biases, that when when something sleazy or embarrassing happens to a politician, subconciously they're conditioned to think it must be a Democrat, and their finger wanders over to the D letter on the keyboard as they type the screen crawl or headline.

nope, its planned and well thought out propaganda.

The Republicans and Democrats used to be very broad coalitions of liberals and conservatives.

The fact that someone would consider Specter a liberal Republican, whenever at best he'd be a conservative moderate if he were a Democrat, shows me that the times have changed.

Fair and balanced baby. I bet you miss the good ole days when only liberals like Brokaw, Rather and Jennings gave you the news and there was not a conservative in sight.
Why do you think they want the unFairness Doctrine back? They are desperate to be the only 'voice' of the news again.

Networks that have coulter, hannity O'reiley seem a bit unbalanced to me. And I am not speaking in political terms, but mental ones. I see your guys confusion now :)

Of course. If your liberal that means you think for youself. If your libertarian or conservative you can't.

When I was a kid I would get mad and call the local news when they did it with the Congressperson from Denver. I don't necessarily believe that they do it on purpose, nor have I seen it yet except on blogspots. I don't watch often enough.

The one they should most be embarrassed about was when they showed the wrong congressperson entirely... Crap, what an inane mistake...

Those are editorials. When they actually portray made up news as the truth, it seems that there might be a bit of a lean in their reporting... Oh, that happened on one of those bastions of MSM "fair" reporting (See B.S. News) that would be left after the unFairness Doctrine was passed again, only there would be no other side anymore to get the actual truth out.

I can see why you want it back, but I am sure I get more accurate reports with more than one source. I wonder how often in the past such BS News was reported that we never found the truth because there was no voice to present it.

Uh-oh, a couple of conservative voices are actually on the air and present a different perspective than what we've traditionally had. Unexceptable, we can't have that.
