That is not cheating. Many Repubs have done that throughout our history. Some even switched parties to have a better chance at winning. Trump will be bitch slapped in the midterms and I would would expect some Republicans to ask the Dems if they could join.
Do you know anything about politics?
Dems are not switching to Independent because the Dems are riding a landslide.
