A 4GB IPhone is 499 bucks (conveniently not 500!), and an 8GB one is 599 (Conveniently not 600!). They have the same pricing as a fuckin' PS3, and PS3's are much more difficult to manufacture.
But look at this:

And 8GB ones are 65 bucks.
That is a difference of 30 dollars. NOT 100! They're just doing this because they know that 4GB's is, for all practical purposes, a useless amount to put into one. Hook and sinker. Get them to look at the 4GB one, then get them to realize that it's useless without 8GB's, whereas they wouldn't have even looked at it if the posted price had been 600 dollars. *Sigh* we're all going to buy one eventually anyway, though...
