No, what we want is for all Americans to have the freedom to believe whatever they want. you can be Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Atheist, agnostic, believe in the invisible flying spaghetti monster...we really don't care. What you believe and what you do in the bedroom are none of our business, and we want policies written that way because we believe in the separation of church and state.
Regardless of religion, we want children to be fed and have medical care, people to have clean air and water, people to have safe food. Liberals like myself want taxes to be high enough to pay for what government we do need. As proud democrats we want to be intellectually honest about things like evolution and global warming.
We are appalled at Sharia law, theonomy (Both Islamic and Christian), people being hung for their sexual orientation, people being put in jail without a fair trial, etc.
